We will make sure that everyone does not want to have any kind of injured, especially if someone works with electrical stuffs. So, this overview is made to develop an awareness of the dangers associated with electrical power, and the potential dangers that could
happen on the job.

Electrical shock occurs when a person's body is being a part of the electrical circuit. So the body is a path of the electric current. There three factors of electrical shock, there are:

1 Resistance
Electrical resistance is a the opposition to the flow of electric current in a circuit. It is measured by ohm. "The lower body resistance is one of the potential factors that someone's body being a path of electric current.

2 Voltage
Voltage is a pressure that causes the flow of electric current in a circuit. It is measured by volts. Commonly, above 30 volts is considered as a dangerous potential.

3 Electric Current
The electric current is a rate of flow of electrons in a circuit. It is measured by amperes. There two kinds of factor that most reliable as criteria shock intensity, they are amount of current (calculating: Volt/Resistance of the body), and the length of time. Amounts of current above 5 mA or 0.005 A is considered as a dangerous potential.

The danger of harmful shock increases as the voltage increases. There is another factor that is influencing the effect of an electric shock, a pathway through body

.
It often happens that someone gets injured by electrical equipments in the workplace. Actually it is not about electrical equipments but it is about human error. Human errors and material failure cause unsafe acts. And it will be a way that someone is being dangerous.

OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is used to set standards that regulate safety in company. They established colors that represent certain cautions and danger:
1. Red is designed to
l  Fire protection equipment & Apparatus portable containers of flammable liquids.
l  Emergency stop buttons and switches.

2. Yellow is designed to
l  Caution and physical hazards.
l  Waste containers for explosive materials.
l  Caution to against starting, using or moving an under repaired equipment.
l  Power source of machinery.

3. Orange is designed to
l  Dangerous parts of machines.
l  Safety starter buttons.
l  The exposed parts of pulleys, gears, rollers, cutting devices and power jaws.

4. Purple is designed to
l  Radiation hazards.

5. Green is designed to
l  Safety.
l  Location if first-aid equipment, except fire fighting equipment.

Personal Safety is really important to avoid you as being an injured
First, make sure before you wear a hard hats, safety shoes and goggles where they are specified. Watch out! Please, do not wear your accessories, such as jewelry, watch, etc. If you have got a long hair, it should be confined, and please, wearing an earmuffs, especially in a noisy area. Clothing should fit to your body, so we can avoid the danger of becoming entangled in moving machinery.

If somebody has became an injured, it is better to do a First-Aid. Its purpose is to preserve life, assist recovery, and prevent aggravation of the condition. These are a few basic first- aid procedures.

-          To control bleeding, please give a pressure in the bleeding area with a clean pad or your hand. Raise the bleeding area above heart level.
-          To control burns, these are two degrees. The first and minor second degree, give an injured area with cold water or cold packs to relieve the pain. Watch out! Do not break blisters. The second and third degree with open blisters, it should be treated with thick, clean bandages.
-          To treat electric shock, please DO NOT touch the victims until they have not been a part of electrical circuit. And first, do Administer artificial respiration if the victim is not breathing. Keep the victim’s body warm, and make sure position the victim, so the head is low to encourage flow of blood and avoiding an obstruction to breathing.
